The Buffalo Bills bolstered their receiving corps on Tuesday by acquiring Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Bills will send a third-round pick in 2025 and a seventh-round pick in 2026 to the Browns. Buffalo will also receive Cleveland's sixth-round pick in 2025.
Cooper is the second high-profile wide receiver to be traded to an AFC East team within a few hours. Earlier, the New York Jets announced they acquired Davante Adams from Las Vegas, reuniting him with his old friend Aaron Rodgers.
On Monday night, the Bills (4-2) solidified their lead in the AFC East by defeating the Jets (2-4) 23-20.
At 30 years old, Cooper is in his 10th NFL season, and his third with the Browns, who have been struggling offensively under quarterback Deshaun Watson. He has caught 24 passes on 53 targets for 250 yards and two touchdowns, which came in a 21-15 loss to the New York Giants in Week 3. In the last three games, he has been limited to 12 receptions for 137 yards.
His arrival in Buffalo will help fill the gap left by wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was traded to the Houston Texans, and Gabe Davis, who became a free agent.
